With the proper contractual language, however, you could make the clause have more bite.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7800674.post-1118879580581977672005-06-15T16:53:00.000-07:002005-06-15T16:53:00.000-07:00Ok, something bugs me. What if he drops an upper onto the countertop? Is he going to stand on your new counters to install the uppers? Has this guy even installed cabinets before?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7800674.post-1118868647884970042005-06-15T13:50:00.000-07:002005-06-15T13:50:00.000-07:00The previous commenter is correct. After several extensions, he agreed, in writing, to pay me $100 per calendar day for each day after May 18 that the job was not done.Shaunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05654897560778650994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7800674.post-1118866554834476212005-06-15T13:15:00.000-07:002005-06-15T13:15:00.000-07:00He already paid him buddy - he has every right to ...He already paid him buddy - he has every right to do what he plans.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7800674.post-1118860178913061572005-06-15T11:29:00.000-07:002005-06-15T11:29:00.000-07:00Steve - No, he doesn't mention the discount anymor...Steve - No, he doesn't mention the discount anymore and I haven't mentioned it. We are at the point where he owes me more than I paid him. Once everything is installed, I am going to change the lockbox code so he can't get back in, then send him a bill for what he owes me along with a copy of the contract. I'll send this via certified mail, return receipt to give it an added punch. I don't think I'll get anything from him, but I want him to know I haven't forgotten and I'm still pissed about it. My bottom line right now is to get the job completed as soon as possible.Shaunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05654897560778650994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7800674.post-1118857556881246522005-06-15T10:45:00.000-07:002005-06-15T10:45:00.000-07:00I NEVER trust what our contractors tell us anymore...I NEVER trust what our contractors tell us anymore.
